We are working on the permanent construction of a salon dedicated to artists who are and have been dedicated their lives to printmaking in Guatemala. We offer to your inner artist workshops to awaken the senses to art and life. BANDANA PRINT MAKING WORKSHOP!
Summer inspired us to create objects that not only protect us from the sun but also add a unique touch to our outfits. That's how this bandana printing workshop came to life—a creative experience where we explored the fundamentals of printmaking to build repeating patterns that can be combined into endless compositions.
Each participant designed their own image, carefully carved a printing block, and learned the complete process of inking and printing. What was originally planned as a three-hour workshop naturally evolved into an eight-hour creative marathon, fueled entirely by curiosity, experimentation, and the excitement of making.
With every print, participants refined their carving techniques, adjusted their designs, and discovered how small changes could completely transform the final result. Every bandana was printed with patience and attention to detail, becoming a one-of-a-kind piece. Seeing workshops like this continue to expand the possibilities of printmaking at UTOPIA is incredibly rewarding.
More than simply learning a technique, these experiences invite people to experiment, create, and discover new ways to bring art into the objects they use every day.
