Ice Dyeing Textile Workshop

In this workshop, we will explore the ice dyeing technique, a textile dyeing process in which color is slowly released as the ice melts, creating organic patterns and unique results.

We will work with plants and natural pigments, connecting with their historical use in Guatemala and with dyeing processes that honor time and material.

We will learn:

• Plants used in this process and their long history in Guatemala

• Color extraction processes from plants

• Preparation of cotton and wool for dyeing, with samples
