Join Alex Shieberg of Artepoxi at Utopia and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of artistic resin through a practical and intensive workshop designed for people who want to explore new techniques and expand their creative possibilities.
During this in-person workshop, you will learn about the different types of resin and their applications, combining theory and practice to properly understand the material and work safely. You will learn everything from resin preparation to pigmentation using paste pigments, mica powders, powdered metal, and alcohol inks, allowing you to experiment with color, depth, and texture.
Throughout the session, you will create pieces using six different techniques, applied to round molds measuring 10 cm in diameter. The techniques taught include: encapsulation, geode, 3D flower, alcohol ink drops, Petri dish, and two-element combinations. These techniques can be applied to a wide variety of molds and objects such as keychains, jewelry, pens, coasters, trays, and more.
